Fremantle Traffic Bridge Closure – Our Community Needs Real Solutions

The Fremantle Traffic Bridge, carrying 24,000 vehicles daily, will close on 1 February, diverting traffic to Stirling Bridge and causing major congestion for residents, schools, and businesses.

It’s clear the government’s measures fall short on safety, traffic overflow, and active transport.

After consulting with local residents, businesses and community groups I have called for practical solutions - better traffic management, safe cycling and walking paths, and clear communication to support locals during the closure.
